Kharkiv is a major traffic centre. Major motorways connect it with Moscow, Kiev and many cities of Russia and Ukraine, the CIS and other foreign countries. It also has road communication, connecting it with all district centres and many towns of the region. The Central Coach Station is a terminal for coaches following international and interregional routes (Poltava, Krasnograd, Izyum directions). Coach Station No. 2 is a terminal for coaches running in the direction of Sumy. Comfortable ‘Autolux’ coaches follow the Kharkiv-Poltava-Boryspil Airport-Kiev route. They depart from the Central Coach Station where one of the company offices is located.

International coaches depart from the Central Coach Station (Rostov, Moscow, Germany) and from Coach Station No. 4 (Belgorod), Coach Station No. 3 (Shebekino) and Coach Station No. 2 (Hrayvoron).

The rest of the coach stations provide commuter services only.
