Korobovy Khutory

Many towns in the Zmiyiv District are known first and foremost as recreation sites where health resorts and holiday houses are situated. Down the Seversky Donets there is one of the most beautiful areas of the Kharkiv Region, also known as Kharkiv Switzerland — Korobovy Khutory.

In the 19th century Korobovy Khutory was a favourite site of summer visitors. The prominent Ukrainian painter S. Vasylkivsky enjoyed working and having a break here.

Today this area is still popular with holiday makers. It is here that the first ecological route in the Kharkiv Region was laid on the site of the ‘Homolshanki Woods’ National Park.
